AV-APA PMA

The AV-APA PMA (Analog Port Adapter) is a groundbreaking accessory designed for aircraft with legacy autopilots, enabling a seamless upgrade to the latest digital avionics. This device allows for the replacement of older, vacuum-driven directional gyros with the sophisticated, lightweight digital AV-30. The AV-APA PMA not only enhances navigation capabilities through advanced GPS features but also simplifies the cockpit by potentially removing outdated vacuum systems.

The AV-APA PMA (analog port adapter) accessory enables aircraft owners with legacy autopilots to replace their old, heavy, vacuum-driven directional gyro with a more capable, lighter, digital AV-30 and potentially remove their vacuum system entirely.

The AV-APA PMA emulates the analog heading signal used by legacy autopilots to provide heading hold as well as the ability to follow GPS tracks from a portable or IFR GPS.
